Volkswagen India announces prices of the BS6 Polo and Vento

–    The new BS6 (EA 211) engine family comprises of TSI and MPI technology –    Volkswagen introduces its globally renowned TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) technology across the variants of the Polo & Vento at a more accessible price point for Indian customers –    The new 1.0l TSI engine can deliver up to 110 PS of power - Most powerful petrol engine in the category and being fuel efficient as well    –    Introduces new 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission across the product range –    Prices of the BS6 petrol powered engine, ranges from INR 5.82 lakh up to INR 9.59 lakh for Volkswagen Polo and INR 8.86 lakh to INR 13.29 lakh for Volkswagen Vento (ex-showroom). Price range remains similar to BS4 carlines    –    The Polo & Vento now comprise of heat insulating glass, which maintains the cabin temperature. Thus, lowering fuel consumption and enhancing customer comfort while driving

Mumbai – Volkswagen India launches its BS6 petrol engine product portfolio across it’s model range of Polo and Vento.

Powering the BS6 variants of the Volkswagen Polo will be the MPI and TSI petrol engines of the EA 211 engine family. While the Volkswagen Vento will be powered by TSI engine of the same family. The current 1.2l TSI engine will be replaced by 1.0l TSI engine (delivering up to 110 PS of power & 175 Nm of torque, most powerful petrol engine in the category). It will be mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission depending on the variant. The 1.0l TSI engine is not only lighter in weight but is also more powerful and efficient in nature.

Volkswagen’s globally awarded TSI technology is a key component for the brands’ powertrain and fuel strategy. It’s many advantages include the engines compact design which enables a high power drivability, more performance, less fuel consumption with an excellent fuel economy. It is also a sustainable engine option in the future of mobility.
